01. WHERE ARE QUARTZ CO. PRODUCTS MADE?

All Quartz Co. products are conceived in Canada. Most of them are made in Canada. At Quartz Co., we prioritize local production, striving to manufacture as many of our products as possible in Canada. However, for certain specialized items, Canadian-based production isn’t always the best option. In these cases, we collaborate with international factories that align with our values, following a vertical, localized approach to production. Our partner factories are experts in their respective garment categories, overseeing the entire production process—from material sourcing to finished product—within their local regions. We carefully select these partners not only for their expertise but also for their commitment to responsible manufacturing. Every facility we work with upholds fair labor conditions, safe work environments, and is certified by globally recognized standards such as BSCI* (Business Social Compliance Initiative) and WRAP** (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production). Through this approach, we maintain our high standards of quality, sustainability, and ethical responsibility, no matter where our products are made.

03. WHAT IS QUARTZ CO.’S WARRANTY POLICY?

We offer a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship for the practical lifetime of the product. What does “Life of the product” mean? We design products to endure the rhythm of everyday life and the demands of the harshest conditions. Still, even with the utmost care, a parka worn daily through rigorous winters will naturally show signs of age. When wear and tear surpass the point of repair, it means your coat has reached the end of its practical lifetime. That is the life of the product. Ready-to-Wear items and Accessories (hats, scarves, bags, gloves) are not covered by the Quartz co. Lifetime Warranty Program.


04. HOW DO I SUBMIT A WARRANTY CLAIM?

For any product purchased through one of our retailers, please contact them for any warranty claim. For all purchases made through our website quartz-co.com, or in our Quartz Co. stores, please fill the following form. Once we have received the request, we will contact you on the next steps depending on the issue.

05. UP TO WHAT TEMPERATURE DOES QUARTZ CO. WINTER JACKETS KEEP ME WARM?

The level of warmth of our winter jackets varies according to several internal (physical fitness, energy level, diet, hydration, etc.) and external factors (temperature, wind, humidity, etc.). Most of our winter jackets provide a comfort zone between -25ºC to -30ºC

07. SHOULD I CHOOSE A DOWN-INSULATED JACKET OR A AYNTHETIC-INSULATED JACKET?

Weight-for-weight, synthetic insulation is less warm than down. Synthetic insulation, on the other hand, maintains its insulating power in damp conditions.

So, What’s Best, Down or Synthetic Insulation? The simple answer is: it depends. One is not better than the other in every situation.
The decision to choose a down-insulated jacket or a synthetic-insulated jacket hinges on the conditions you’ll be wearing it in most of the time.

 

When to Choose Down Insulation

Down is weight-for-weight the better insulator, so it’s more suitable than synthetic down for extremely cold conditions. Very cold conditions are usually very dry, as well, and down performs best in dry rather than humid conditions.

 

When to Choose Synthetic Insulation

Synthetic insulation is a very versatile insulator. It’s easy to care for, it keeps you warm in a variety of conditions, including cold and wet environments, and it’s more cost-effective than traditional down.

08. WHAT DOES TRACEABLE DOWN MEAN AND IS THE DOWN THAT QUARTZ CO. USES TRACEABLE?

Traceable down is sourced in compliance with local animal welfare regulations that ensure down and feathers are a by-product of the food industry and come from animals that have not been subjected to any unnecessary harm.

All of Quartz Co’s down is traceable through TRACKMYDOWN.COM and certified Responsible Down Standard (RDS). 

With TRACKMYDOWN.COM you have the opportunity to better understand all the nuances of down and make a more-informed decision based on the performance and sustainability of the insulation inside each product. 
The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) incentivizes the down and feather industry to treat animals humanely and rewards organizations leading the way. The standard also gives companies and consumers a way to know what’s in the products they buy. 

10. WHY DO YOU USE FUR ON YOUR PARKAS?

Fur is a natural, effective and durable material. It provides high-quality protection which is perfect for the conditions in which our parkas are used.  When it lines a parka hood, fur blocks the wind and snow, and creates a hot air zone that protects the face from frostbite.

11. WHAT KIND OF FUR DOES QUARTZ CO. USE?

We use coyote, Finnish racoon and blue fox fur. Our fur comes exclusively from Canada, the United States and Finland and our suppliers guarantee that it has been obtained in compliance with those countries’ laws regarding cruel trapping and farming practices towards fur-bearing animals.

For Quartz Nature item(s), visit us at our Mile End store (exclusively) for evaluation of repair and associated fees. We reserve ourselves the right to refuse the repair. No online request accepted.

If you need to modify or cancel your order after submitting it, send an email to info@quartz-co.com. Depending on the status of your order, we will do our best to help you with your request.

22. HOW CAN I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY ORDER?

You can track your order by accessing your account page. You will also be sent an email as the status changes.

23. HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

As soon as your order is shipped, we will send you an email with your tracking number so you can follow the journey of your package from our warehouse to your front door.

25. DOES QUARTZ CO. OFFER PRICE ADJUSTMENTS ON SALE ITEMS?

We offer a price adjustment if the item's price changes within 7 days of the purchase date. The request must be submitted within 10 days of the purchase date. To qualify for a price adjustment, the product must be in unworn condition with attached hangtags. Additionally, the exact style, color, and size must be available for purchase at the time your request is made before any price adjustment can be approved.

All approved price changes will be refunded to your original payment method.
