1997
Canadian outerwear pionneer Yves Trudeau founds Quartz Nature, following a lifelong career dedicated to crafting outerwear across various companies.
2004
Quartz Nature launches its first extreme-cold collection, designed for explorers, Arctic residents, and scientists working in the harshest environments.
2015
Brothers Jean-Philippe, François-Xavier and Guillaume Robert - three engineers - acquire the company from Mr. Trudeau, ushering in a new era by modernizing collections for a global generation of customers.
2016
Quartz Co. embraces a strong commitment to sustainability, introducing the first commercially available milkweed-insulated jackets. The company strengthens supply chain traceability and pioneers the use of sustainable fabrics.
2017
Debut of the Edition collection, redefining Quartz Co.’s modern identity. This collection marks the beginning of Quartz Co.'s global expansion.
2018
The Robert brothers acquire two new factories in Montreal and Victoriaville, reinforcing their dedication to Canadian manufacturing while investing significantly in modernizing operations.
2020
When COVID-19 strikes, Quartz Co. retools its entire factory to produce medical gowns for the Canadian government. That same year, the company diversifies its operations and opens its flagship store beside its design studio in Montreal's historic Mile-End garment district.
2021
The opening of national pop-up stores reinforces the brand experience, becoming a key direct-to-consumer expansion strategy.
2022
Collaboration with designer Marie-Ève Lecavalier results in the Après-Ski Capsule Collection, showcased at Paris Fashion Week and other international events.
2023
Collaboration with BEIGE Habilleur reimagines the iconic Vostok expedition jacket (first introduced in 1997).
