Overall, this is a very good winter jacket and it performs well in extremely cold conditions. I had the chance to wear it in temperatures as low as -20°C and it does an excellent job keeping the body warm.

However, there are two downsides worth mentioning especially given the price point.

The first and, in my opinion, biggest issue is that the pockets are not insulated. The inside of the pockets gets extremely cold, making them practically unusable for keeping your hands warm. This is particularly frustrating, as all my previous winter jackets had properly insulated pockets that stayed warm even in very cold temperatures.

The second point is about loose threads. I noticed a long thread coming from the inside of the hood and another one inside the inner pocket, which keeps getting caught on my phone case. I’m hesitant to cut them as I don’t want to risk damaging the stitching but this is something I really didn’t expect.

Despite these issues, this is still a high-quality jacket that keeps your core warm. It’s just unfortunate that the pockets are essentially unusable, and I now have to invest in warmer mittens, something I really didn’t expect considering the price.

Globalement, c’est un très bon manteau d’hiver. Je l’ai porté par des températures allant jusqu’à -20°C et de ce côté-là, rien à redire il tient vraiment chaud.

Cela dit, il y a deux points négatifs que je trouve importants de mentionner, surtout vu le prix.

Le premier, et clairement le plus frustrant, concerne les poches, qui ne sont pas isolées. L’intérieur des poches devient glacé, ce qui les rend quasiment inutilisables pour se réchauffer les mains. C’est vraiment décevant car tous mes anciens manteaux d’hiver avaient des poches bien isolées même par grand froid.

Le deuxième point concerne des fils qui dépassent. J’ai remarqué un long fil à l’intérieur de la capuche, ainsi qu’un autre dans la poche intérieure, qui s’accrochent sans arrêt à la coque de mon téléphone. Je n’ose pas les couper par peur d’abîmer les coutures, mais honnêtement, je ne m’attendais pas à ce genre de problème.

Malgré tout, ça reste un manteau de très bonne qualité qui tient bien chaud. C’est dommage que les poches soient pratiquement inutilisables, au point où je dois maintenant investir dans des mitaines plus chaudes, ce que je n’avais vraiment pas prévu vu le prix.

I’ve only bought my jacket 7 days ago, but with the cold weather of Montreal this December, it’s been a life saver! The zippers, the quality of the material, the warmth have been really good so far. The fact that I can wash it in the machine is also a big plus - as well as the life warranty! Looking forward to how it will keep up with time.

I love the fit, colour and style of the jacket. It is a perfect length and is warm without looking too bulky. I can wear a midl layer without having to size up. The service at the Mont Royal store was outstanding. I was travelling from Ottawa and the salesperson ensured that the coats that I wanted to try were in the store. I had bought a Quartz coat online that was too large so I wanted to try on different styles and sizes. There was no pressure at all just helpful service. I would like to add that Quartz has an excellent website with outstanding customer service. Quartz processed the return very quickly. Quartz is a company that understands customer service.

Très satisfaite de mon achat. Belle coupe, bonne grandeur, tissu de très bonne qualité et très chaud. Le seul bémol est la fermeture éclaire qui est plus difficile à enclencher.

J'étais fière de me procurer un manteau fait au Canada. Malheureusement je suis très déçue car quand il fait -10 Celsius et moins je dois mettre un polar ou autre pour ne pas avoir froid. De plus le duvet sort de partout par l'extérieur du manteau! Somme toute je suis très déçue de mon achat Quartz
